GNSS and LBS Association of China

GNSS and LBS Association of China (GLAC), founded in 1995, is China’s only national industry association in the fie-ld of satellite navigation and location services. It was rated as 4A in the National Social Organization Evaluation carried out by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and is a group member of China Association for Science and Technology.

As a national industry association covering the field of satellite (satellite navigation, satellite communication, satellite remote sensing and other applications), navigation (ubiquitous and seamless indoor-outdoor navigation) and positioning (space- and ground-based positioning as well as ubiquitous time and space location services), GLAC actively strengthens Pa-rty building and self-construction, improves services, fulfills social responsibilities, and plays the role of bridge and bond between enterprises and the government. Adhering to the purpose of serving the enterprises, the industry, the government a-nd the society, with a high sense of responsibility and mission, GLAC is committed to promoting the high-quality developm-ent of the satellite navigation and location service industry with the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System as the core, and ma-king continuous contributions to the large-scale application and industrial development of BeiDou.

GLAC members from all regions of China cover the fields of transportation, agriculture, forestry, husbandry and fishin-

g, hydro logical monitoring, communication network, power scheduling, weather forecasting,disaster relief and mitigation,p-etrochemical industry, mobile Internet and surveying and mapping. The relevant organizations include enterprises and public institutions, social groups, research institutes, universities and colleges engaged in scientific research, production and manag-ement of satellite navigation and location service. At present, GLAC has 33 professional committees.
